About Me

My photo
North Somerset, United Kingdom
My parents were worried when I ran around with scissors – now I play with fire and (intentionally) break glass! Based in the beautiful South West of England, close to the sea and often the scene of beautiful sunsets, I am inspired by the countryside around. Working with sea glass collected from remote beaches, soda lime glass from Murano, Italy, Europe, USA and beyond, I create artisan beads, for use in my own jewellery or for you to enjoy in your own creations. But I couldn’t stop there; continuing the theme from round rods to flat sheets, mostly from the USA, I break large sheets of transparent, opaque, multi-coloured and dichroic glass into much smaller pieces to make a kiln-formed range of bright, colourful jewellery and home decoration. Each piece I make is individually designed around the shape, size and beauty of the materials and intended to be unique, wearable, usable and affordable. All my glass work is kiln annealed for strength and durability and designed to give pleasure for years to come.

Sign up for newsletters, offers, updates

Now you can sign up to join my mail list for newsletters, offers and updates and, perhaps, give-aways for mailing list members.

Early days but I don't expect to send out more than one newsletter a month at most, probably less frequently when there is less to tell you. It will largely be about my work, where you can buy, where I will be exhibiting, new work, that sort of thing rather than what I had for breakfast and my pets latest party tricks [such things will be saved for the Twitter account I don't have! :) ].

Fill in the form on the left and the gizmo will manage your subscription for me. You can unsubscribe by clicking the blue text under the form or by using the link on the email sent to you; you can change your mind and opt out, I won't take it too personally but think it is important for both of us if you can easily change your mind later - I don't want to upset you with unwanted emails.

Meanwhile, whilst this gets underway, there's still time to take advantage of my February offer in my Big Cartel shop - just quote FEBFIESTA25 in the discount code box and the discount will be taken off your purchases before you pay. The discount doesn't include postage and packaging. It runs to the end of Monday 28 February UK time and can be used more than once or shared with your friends.

I look forward to meeting new friends through my newsletter.
