About Me

My photo
North Somerset, United Kingdom
My parents were worried when I ran around with scissors – now I play with fire and (intentionally) break glass! Based in the beautiful South West of England, close to the sea and often the scene of beautiful sunsets, I am inspired by the countryside around. Working with sea glass collected from remote beaches, soda lime glass from Murano, Italy, Europe, USA and beyond, I create artisan beads, for use in my own jewellery or for you to enjoy in your own creations. But I couldn’t stop there; continuing the theme from round rods to flat sheets, mostly from the USA, I break large sheets of transparent, opaque, multi-coloured and dichroic glass into much smaller pieces to make a kiln-formed range of bright, colourful jewellery and home decoration. Each piece I make is individually designed around the shape, size and beauty of the materials and intended to be unique, wearable, usable and affordable. All my glass work is kiln annealed for strength and durability and designed to give pleasure for years to come.

Welcome to my first blog give-away. The prizes are

a pair of fluorite and sterling silver earrings,

a pair of jade and sterling silver earrings and

a pair of petrified wood and sterling silver earrings.

There are several ways you can enter:

Write about my giveaway in your blog or on one (or more) of your social networking sites, with a link to my blog then leave a comment here to tell me where (1 entry per blog/social networking site)

Sign up to my blog, if you’ve not already done so, and leave a comment telling me which item you best like, or would like to see in my Etsy, Folksy or Shophandmade shops (1 entry)

Purchase an item of jewellery, a scarf or bag from one of my shops, leaving me a comment in the ‘message to seller’ box so I know you have come from my blog (4 entries per purchase)

The winner will be chosen at random from qualifying entries on Sunday 5 July 09. I’ll announce the winners shortly after so don’t forget to come back and see if you’ve won!

Good luck.

Audrey - it's on the back - I snagged the bail with the Dremel when removing excess glue and it's removed a bit of the silver plate. But, as you sy, it doesn't show.
